The conversion is still not complete and many blog posts still must be re-entered here. So that’s the technical excuse. There were a lot of personal travails along the way such as a house refinance that took 9 months and a long separation and, ultimately, divorce. The course is Ethics in Congress. Now is the time.

Slowly but surely, for a long term office holder, the costs begin to outweigh the income. When it does, often at the holiday season, the mind comes home, the ego adjusts to the importance of the embrace of those closest and dearest and the time is ripest for calling it quits. A good, Republican friend of mine, Phil, emailed a quote to me as follows saying in his judgment Sununu “Absolutely hit is on the nail.”. Here’s what I wrote back to him. I will always listen to what John Sununu has to say, even if I have to distill it, to get to the meat of his argument.
