awesome tacos: pdxfood
http://pdxfood.livejournal.com/74488.html
Ever eat meat that was seasoned in such a way, you can still "taste" it several hours later? In a good way. I've been getting lunch at La Superior on 2727 N Lombard. I think there was a fairly popular taco joint here previously too. Tacos are $1.15 and burritos are $3.99. And they have a lot of combo plates priced differently. I love this joint. It's dingy inside but I got a feeling it's pretty darn authentic. The food tastes amazing without needing to be smothered in cheese or sour cream.

Mmmm deep fried balls of octopus, with mayo. Where I can get takoyaki besides Sushi Land? Like, at restaurants. I know I can get it at Anzen or Fubonn and cook it here, but. I am often too lazy. birthday deals: pdxfood
http://pdxfood.livejournal.com/74613.html
Any suggestions for deeply discounted birthday meals (i.e., buy one entree - get one free, or 50% off check)? I'm aiming higher than a free knob of ice cream. Hoping for Asian, Middle Eastern, and/or fancy, but if you know of Latin/Caribbean, Indian, or other kinds of restaurants offering deals, please post! Not so much into Mexican or standard American fare like hamburgers and chicken strips, though. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Post a new comment.

PDX Resource Questions! - portland art lovers
http://pdx-artists.livejournal.com/71957.html
A community for artists and art lovers alike. Mar 7th, 2009 12:32 am]. I just joined this community and have a few questions about producing art in Porland. Where can I get the cheapest b&w copies made for making books and zines? Is there an inexpensive place to have vinyl records made of my music? Are there any all-ages open mic nights in Portland? Lastly, are there any galleries that also have live music? Thanks for any help! Posted on Mar. 7th, 2009 at 11:44 pm. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch?

still kickin' it old school: indie_anime
http://indie-anime.livejournal.com/18613.html
Still kickin' it old school. Sorry if these aren't *really* indie, as they're both state-sanctioned propaganda AND fairly traditional animation, but I think they're still outside the normal anime fare of today. I heard of this first one courtesy of Pink Tentacle. YouTube gold at 3:04. Actually, I think the rain at 9:48 and at 12:54 onwards looks fantastic. Digital Meme is releasing a 4-DVD set of "Japanese Anime Classics" in April. Here's the breakdown of contents. Post a new comment. Post a new comment.
