Our independent question was. How does sound echo. We already knew that sound travels in vibrations. Pirate Ship Maths Challenge. Each person worked in a group of 3 to make a pirate ship out of a 30cm2 piece of tin foil. The challenge was to hold the most marbles which was the treasure. Monday, November 24, 2014. 2nd try at the ship pirate challenge. Room 5 and 6 put their problem solving skills to the test when making a ship out of a 30cm2 piece of tin foil. We noticed that the sides needed to be big. The winning ship was 18cm long and 9cm wide. It was twice as long as it was wide. Posted by Mrs Allison.
