Mrs. B's ART

Wednesday, November 17, 2010. After looking at Georgia O'Keefe's flowers students honored the American artist by making their flowers for spring LARGE! Tuesday, November 16, 2010. A great way for your students to tell you who they are. Who knew that symmetry could look so beautiful! My 3rd class created a "glass" window using oil pastel and paper. As a class we discussed foreground while making these large snowmen out of pastels. 3rd Grader's get sucked into a Picasso portrait. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Mrs. B's ART: Kindergarten

http://mrsbart.blogspot.com/p/kindergarten.html

Students looked at the work of Claude Monet and created their own Waterlillies. Where do you live? Kindergarten shares where they live while practicing cutting out different shapes upon paper. Jasper Johns inspired Kindergartener's to practice tracing their age onto paper using oil pastel. Using only warm colors students decorated the inside of the number with lines and shapes. Later we studied cool colors using watercolors. After discussing where clay comes from students made their own pinch pots.

Mrs. B's ART: Middle School

http://mrsbart.blogspot.com/p/middle-school.html

One plastic bottle = 1 animal. Students had to imagine how they could create the shape of an animal by using recycling from home. Then with some plaster help and paint they became animals. Mrs. Bartel's School Family

Walton Rural Life Center. Thursday, August 13, 2015. As some of my Periscope friends will say. This is going to be Real. The straight truth, as I see it. I've been having trouble getting excited about the new school year. Yes, eager, but excited has not been my most common feeling. And as I reflect on today, the range of emotions is exhausting. Delighted in the morning to get the last few items crossed off my list to be ready for Meet the Teacher. Nervous in the afternoon about whether I forgot something.
