Ham, Apple and Cheddar Quesadillas with a side of Ramblings. August 28, 2012. I’m all about easy lunches these days. And mmmthis one is delicious (at least I think so and when my toddler asks for seconds, I know it’s a keeper! Ham, Cheddar and Apple Quesadilla. 1-2 slices deli Ham. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, sliced (I use a brick of cheese, and slice small chunks). When it’s done to your liking, remove from pan, cut in half and serve with sour cream for dipping! Asy sandwiches, etc. Or Sloppy Joes-I use this.

October 16, 2014. Readers, thank you for listening to my ramblings here. I have had a shift in what I want to write about. (Perhaps you’ve noticed that my posts are less and less about crafty things and more about deeper issues of the heart) I desire to keep writing, but it will no longer be here on MiddletreeMade. You can now find me on my new blog called The Brave Hesitant. Read the About page to understand the name I chose). Here are my first two posts on The Brave Hesitant:. TREASURE REVERSAL (PART 1).

Listen: Propaganda – Framed Stretch Marks | Middletreemade
https://middletreemade.wordpress.com/2014/05/16/listen-propaganda-framed-stretch-marks
Listen: Propaganda – Framed Stretch Marks. May 16, 2014. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot (a LOT) of music by Propaganda. As well as Beautiful Eulogy and other Humble Beast. Artists. Please take a look at their site. They offer their music for free, but also encourage donations. Support them! I love the honesty and authenticity of this song. And even more so, the truth. Propaganda – Framed Stretch Marks ft. Braille. If I could I’d frame your stretch marks. You only get them two ways. And the pain that...

Thoughts on Compassion | Middletreemade
https://middletreemade.wordpress.com/2012/05/21/thoughts-on-compassion
May 21, 2012. Do you ever feel God stirring in your heart, yet you don’t know what to do about it? Feel compassionate, but no outlet for it? Desire to help others, but you have no idea where to start? Ever feel like you just want to sell everything, and move to Africa (or where ever).just because you desire to helpand to love? At the same time, I don’t want being a mother to little children to become an easy excuse to not fight for the freedom of others. That’s where I’m asking for God’s wisdom and g...

A Few Things I’ve Learned About Surprise Parties | Middletreemade
https://middletreemade.wordpress.com/2012/05/08/a-few-things-ive-learned-about-surprise-parties
A Few Things I’ve Learned About Surprise Parties. May 8, 2012. This is NOT a How-To, these are just some of my own, personal reflections. Have a Plan to Get Your Birthday Boy/Girl Out of the House. Pretty obvious, right? Have a friend take them out for a few hours while you prepare at home. Or perhaps arrange for the party to be at a restaurant or park, and that way you can bring the Man of the hour TO his party, as if you were just going out for an afternoon together. Let Go of Your Expectations. Hopefu...

Farmers Markets and Figs | Middletreemade
https://middletreemade.wordpress.com/2012/06/25/farmers-markets-and-figs
Farmers Markets and Figs. June 25, 2012. Something I love about the farmers market is the opportunity to connect with your community. Along with buying delicious, locally-grown food (obviously! As a mother of littles, it can be so refreshing to just have an adult conversation with someone, and I’m finding a lot of it at the market! I’ve felt challenged to cook more seasonally and purchase food locally. I often get frustrated when I am meal planning. Reading food labels is another thing that really got me...

Pulling Weeds | Middletreemade
https://middletreemade.wordpress.com/2014/05/12/pulling-weeds
May 12, 2014. I love how God uses seasonal changes to get me thinking about spiritual changes. To me it has become a picture of our sinthe weeds in our heart, in our soul. If we just chop them off at the top, they are bound to come back again and again. The only way to get rid of them is to dig deep, to work hard and sometimes use sharp tools. And I see God answering prayers and blessing me richly. I see his faithfulness and his grace toward me. Hurling toward the future. May 12, 2014 at 8:16 pm. Follow ...

My heart drawn to eternity | Middletreemade
https://middletreemade.wordpress.com/2012/04/14/my-heart-drawn-to-eternity
My heart drawn to eternity. April 14, 2012. Big Brother and I walk slowly down the basement steps-a mini adventure for him-to get a can of coconut milk for our smoothie. A Josh Garrels song echoes in the background and I watch my little one carefully take each step down as he holds the railing with one hand, and holds my hand with the other. I am so struck by these simple moments sometimes that my heart wants to burst…What can I even do with this moment, so profound and yet so quickly passing? Email (Add...

Hurling toward the future | Middletreemade
https://middletreemade.wordpress.com/2014/04/17/hurling-toward-the-future
Hurling toward the future. April 17, 2014. I really have no idea. What I do know is that there are a million things running through my mind and my heart lately and I don’t know what to do with them. The American Church and how we function. Laundry, Meal Planning, and the general chaos of Motherhood with 3 littles. Loss Grief. The kind that comes with miscarriage. And the many layers of it. Compassion for others as a result of suffering loss, and of feeling misunderstood. Music Really good music. 3 though...
