Second Grade in Room 26! Your child will bring home a homework folder each Friday. The homework packet inside will be due the following Friday. The packet will include language arts and math homework, along with a reading log. Please make sure that your child reads for at least 20 minutes each night. The reading your child does at home is crucial to his or her success at school. Also, reading higher-level books to your child will help your child's vocabulary and background knowledge to grow!

It's important that I know when you are coming, so that I can have work ready for you. Please send a written note if there is a change of transportation for your child. Second Grade in Room 26! Welcome Families of Second Graders! My name is Mrs. Branscom, and I am very excited about being your child's teacher this year! It's hard to believe it, but this will be my twentieth year of teaching in the Bellevue School District. For many of those years I was a second grade teacher at Kawana School; for the past six years I have been a Reading Specialist teacher at Taylor Mountain. When parents and teachers work together as a team, we can make a huge difference!
