This blog keeps parents and families up to date with what is happening in our room. Friday, November 4, 2011. Part of my job. Most of my job as a Kindergarten teacher is to teach the ideas laid out in the curriclum. Things like the alphabet, counting, recognizing number sets, changes in our environment, etc. But there are things that I teach that are also as important as the curriculum guidelines. http://mrshunterkindergarten.blogspot.com/2013/04/oops.html
This blog keeps parents and families up to date with what is happening in our room. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. What a glorious morning I had. Made lunches. Sent the kids off to school, drove to school. And then I got a phone call asking if it was Kindergarten. Thought it was funny and then the principal said that another little kindie was on the bus and another Kindergarten sister called her mom to ask. It was then I realized that the little kindie on the bus was mine! Hope the rest of the day goes better.

You can check it out at http:/ prezi.com/, or better yet, ask your son or daughter to show theirs to you! The Rants...

Mrs. Hunter's Kindergarten: Saving a life one worm at a time
http://mrshunterkindergarten.blogspot.com/2013/04/saving-life-one-worm-at-time.html

Just a regular day in Kindergarten. 1 We have been learning about our worm composting all year and today was the day that we had to harvest some castings. The reasons for that are two fold:. We need to take some of the castings out as too many castings are toxic to the worms and will eventually kill them. Where the germs live!
