Nia's Extra Ordinary Life. Monday, May 16, 2016. This term all students in Te Poutama will be taking part in a spelling bee. This is a great way for the children to gain confidence and skill in spelling and to broaden their vocabulary. All children have been assigned a list of words to learn over the next 3 weeks. To get to this stage, students were tested on a range of word lists. After self-marking, each student has chosen a level that will provide them with a realistic challenge.

This month we have started our first Applied Learning Project in kindergarten. We are becoming weather experts. Later this month we will share our learning with our family and friends and present a Kindergarten Weather Gallery! This month we will answer our own questions about weather and also our class questions:. What are seasons like in different parts of our country? What are the characteristics of winter in our community? What are different types of weather? How can we show how a thermometer works?

Meet Mrs Cameron and Mrs Holland. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Week 5 has been filled with many wonderful events. The childrenhad a wonderful time on Tuesday morning paticipating in under 8's day. They enjoyed a visit from our community Police Officer and her team and enjoyed many wonderful activities - penalty shoot out, firework art, face painting,just dance, pasta beading, bubble blowing, paper rocket ships and an obstacle course. On Wednesday was our Book Week Parade! Concept - Time - parts of a day.
