We're so excited to get that on our iPads, kids are taking quizzes like crazy now! A big thanks to Mr. Ski and Mrs. Ploeg for helping with that process, we couldn't have done it without them. Reading in "Fun" Chairs. With Mrs. Fellows. Monday, March 31, 2014. In my "spare time" I like to read other school librarian blogs. While doing this, I stumbled upon the Shelf Challenge. Basically, I've pledged to read all the books on a randomly assigned shelf. I was assigned to read "K". Sounds tough, but there is a "cheat" clause. Mouse Paint Color Mixing project. A friend of mine told me about the book "Mouse Paint" by Ellen Stoll Walsh. It is the perfect book to use to when teaching color mixing. Saturday, July 28, 2012. In celebration of our second wedding anniversary, Erwin and I agreed that we should go on two dates – one planned by him and one planned by myself. The idea for my date came easy. When we were jogging at East Coast Park (ECP) about a week before our anniversary, we passed by East Coast Seafood Centre and that’s when I saw my pick, Jumbo Seafood. On our date, we feasted on chilli crab, steamed crab, grilled red tilapia and salted egg prawn. We had the perfect excuse to pig-out!

Thursday, April 26, 2012. Thursday, April 26th. In Language Arts, we've been discussing subjects and predicates and everything that makes a sentence a sentence. This week we have been distinguishing the difference between fact and opinion statements as a whole class. Individual skills and reading strategies are worked on during reading groups.
