Tales of a 1st Year 1st Grade Teacher. Monday, February 9, 2009. I have fantastic news. Today was great! The kids behaved so well. We learned a lot. The day went quickly and smoothly. My tummy did not hurt at all! I had a grade level meeting after school. The lady who causes all the strife was not there. We laughed and smiled at our grade level meeting. It was a miracle- and it was fun- and I am looking forward to next year. Oh, well, at least I got to come home earlier : ). View my complete profile.

Tales of a 1st Year 1st Grade Teacher. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Let's face it- there will probably be another one at some point this year : ). Here's what today has looked like:. 6:10-the alarm goes off, Ross happily reports that his throat still does not hurt, and unhappily reports that he must get up to go to work. 7:00- Ross leaves, I fall fast asleep. 7:45- my phone rings. It's Ben- he gives me an hour-long update on his life. Good times : ). 9:00- Maybe I'm not so awake. I lie down on couch.

Lately, it's been acting up. This could be due to excessive amounts of stress (stress, what stress? Today, I finally called the doctor's office, and was able to see him this afternoon. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Our boy George came to live with us on Saturday. Daved and I were both supposed to go pick him up from the breeder's house which is just outside Wickenburg, roughly 3 hours from Tucson, but I got called in to work on Saturday so Daved went by himself. He is even cuter than I remembered! He only wimpered a bit, and we had to let him out to go to the bathroom 3 times during the 9 hours we were in bed, but that was much better than him crying for an hour! I got a start date!

It's especially nice during monsoon season and in the spring because all of the pools and creeks are full of water, so it definitely doesn't feel like you're in AZ anymore. Sunday, December 7, 2008. Our Sunday School had a Christmas party on Friday, and Daved and I took it upon ourselves to make it an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest. My outfit was fantastic. It was complete with:. 1 Jingle bell necklace, ring, earrings, and bracelet. 2 80's green mom pants. 3 Lovely Christmas sweater-vest. 5 80's leather belt. 6 Sparkly santa hat. 7 Ho ho ho socks. Tuesday, December 2, 2008. I believe donating blood is certainly important enough for a blog, so here goes. I just donated again this afternoon, and you should too! If you can, it's an amazing thing to do. A good family friend of mine was diagnosed with leukemia over 10 years ago, and ever since I've felt like if I can donate blood, I will. He would not have been able to survive as long as he did without someone giving up a mere hour of their time, and with that one hour you can save three lives!
