Friday, July 17, 2015. Term 3 Week 2. Our class assembly is on Wednesday afternoon this coming week. Please join us and watch the class perform as they have been working very hard. This term the children will be working on three main units. In History, we will be learning about the exploration of inland Australia. Our main focus will be on the journeys of Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson and Burke and Wills and their contributions to the opening up of Australia for settlement. Posted by Felicity Pryer.

In my classroom, I believe in minimal homework, therefore I require only the weeks spelling words written out and the times tables for the week. Reading must occur each night for at least 15 minutes. Spelling words are to be written out four times. Using the” Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check Strategy”. The weekly spelling words are listed below:. Tuckshop: take the tuckshop box to and from the tuckshop. Library: take library books to the library. Black bag: take the black bag to the office every morning and collect it every afternoon. Computers: log the computers on every morning. Prayer: set up our sacred space every morning. Messenger / Special helper: help the teacher with any special tasks. (Student of the Week from the previous week.). We are rostered on a job for one week before we swap and let someone else have a turn. 1N - Mrs Seipel.
