What More Can I Say? If you can help in our classroom or at home, please let me know! Feel free to call me or email me for more information about how you can help! A volunteer sheet will be coming home at the beginning of the year. Some areas that volunteers are needed:. Working with individual or groups of students in the classroom. Checking in book bags and issuing new books * ideally this would be one or more people who can commit to doing this weekly throughout the year*. Setting up bulletin boards.

We took took a break from our learning at 9:11 am to have a moment of silence and then followed that with The Star Spangled Banner. Thursday, March 12, 2015. If You Give a 2nd Grader a Crayon. In reading we are currently working on cause and effect. To reinforce the idea, we read the If You Give a a books by Laura Numeroff. I then challenged the kiddos to write their OWN cause and effect story, titled "If You Give a 2nd Grader a Crayon." Check out a few of our FABULOUS stories below! If You Give a 2nd Grader a Crayon. If you give a 2nd grader a crayon, he'll want a piece of paper. When you give him a piece of paper, he'll draw a bat.
