Thursday, September 30, 2010. Just got the news that my PET scan was clear! This means there's a 60 % chance the cancer is completely gone already. But since there's still a chance a few microscopic cells escaped, we're starting chemo October 22, followed by radiation in about March. Looks like the ordeal will end about when the school year is wrapping up. But I am so happy to go through it and beat this! I truly believe it's your positive thoughts and prayers that have helped. Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Can't sleep for a minute, but not a lot to update. Still in the hospital, slowly feeling better. Trying to decide if there's a side effect of chemo I HAVEN'T gotten yet! Monday, November 8, 2010. Leaving for a bit. So, I let everyone know today that I'll be going out on disability for a couple of months starting next Monday. It's a little weird and I feel guilty, but honestly, this in-and-out routine has been worse for everyone than just being gone. I'll come back to visit when my blood counts are good! Thursday, November 18, 2010. At the end of day now and just starting to feel queasy, but it's been a great day otherwise. I was up and around and no real issues. I enjoyed a day of reading "The Hunger Games," which I haven't had time for. My nice friend Mrs. Allred brought us dinner. Mrs. Wallace brought dinner last night. Thank you, if you're out there!
