Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Things to Remember for the First Day. Make sure your child is wearing his/her bus tag. Send a healthy snack labeled with your child's name. Milk is available for all students. Tell your child to look for me at our "Meeting Place" by the bus doors. If your child is not riding the bus, please bring him/her to our "Meeting Place" instead of the classroom. Have your student wear comfortable tennis shoes each day. They will be riding an AFTERNOON bus home that day, not their normal mid-day 10:45 bus. Please write what number they will be riding home OR tell us who will be picking up your student. Writing: wrote own story similar to Where the Wild Things Are using a beginning, middle, and end sheet (have your student tell his/her story! Word Work Stations: 2 rotations. Student Readers: the kids sign up to read to the class! PM: fire drill, outside play. ALL students have their permission slips in! Library books are DUE FRIDAY! What a Fun Day!
