Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Tuesday, April 7, 2009. We are now in San Diego, which is at the southern most end of California, just a few miles from Mexico. Today we explored a part of San Diego called La Jolla (pronounce La-HOY-ya), which means "the jewel" in Spanish. The name absolutely fits! We also had a terrific discovery. As we walked down some steep stairs to a small deck to look at the ocean, we noticed that the rocks looked like they were moving.and they were! Some other highlights of the day include...

We drove all the way up the mountain to the Griffith Observatory which offers unbelievable views of the entire city of Los Angeles below, as well as the Hollywood sign. It also houses some amazing exhibits about the planets, stars, and sun, a giant telescope, and a pendulum clock that runs on gravity and the earth's rotation. Pretty cool! Mrs Massachusetts United States 2010. Sunday, July 19, 2015. We have now moved off the River Beatrice and into the Grand Corinthian Hotel. This morning's activites involved a tour of Parliment then this afternoon we walked to the Opera House and took a tour inside. We are now relaxing in the spa. This is of course the spa. Here is parliment where all Hungarian laws and government buisness takes place. The dome is the same height as St. Stephan's Cathedral. Here is where Parliment holds its sessions.
