Mrs McQuaid's Math Page. For all math courses in high school, you will need a scientific calculator. Selecting a good calculator is very important! A good calculator can make things much easier and a poor calculator can cause a great deal of frustration. The brand of calculator is not important, although some brands have advantages. The one thing that I strongly recommend is a calculator that has a 2 line screen. This extra large screen allows the user to see what they have entered into the calculator.
