The City of Ottawa supplies drinking water to 1,948 people in the Village of Carp. There are two municipal wells constructed in 1986 and 1994 which are 27 metres and 23 metres deep. Where does the water come from? The municipal wells draw groundwater from a sand and gravel aquifer that is replenished by water that infiltrates through the Carp ridge.
