Mrs. Paynter's Classroom: Getting Artsy
http://mrspaynter.blogspot.com/2009/10/getting-artsy.html
A Lorne Cassidy E.S. Friday, October 2, 2009. We have been studying the element of colour in art, beginning with a review of the primary and secondary colours. In this photo, local artist Sarah sits back to contemplate her design. The students were invited to create a crayon resist piece and use watercolours in the primary and secondary colours. The effect was quite eye-catching. Students really enjoyed exploring and playing with their imagination to create unique pieces. Curriculum Documents for Grade 3.

A Lorne Cassidy E.S. Tuesday, November 10, 2009. The Boy Who Loved Words. On Friday, we read the book "The Boy Who Loved Words" by Roni Schotter. It's a story about a boy named Selig who is passionate about words-their sounds (. And the way they moved his heart. An avid word-hoarder, he delights in discovering new terms, recording them on paper scraps, and stowing them in pockets. Unable to comprehend their son's strange. His practical-minded parents worry about his future, and his classmates cruelly add.

Mrs. Bonn's Kindergarten - Home Page
Have a happy summer! As our year in Kindergarten comes to an end, we have been working very hard finishing our last stories in Guided Reading Groups and Shared Reading. Our reading vocabulary is amazing-be sure to keep reading all summer for practice! We are learning about three dimensional shapes in Math, and where we see them in our world around us. Shapes are interesting-it's fun to find them in every-day things! In Religion, our friend Peter discovers how much he has grown this year! Mrs Bonn is, too!
