Two Friends' Tales and Travels. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Swisher County Parade and Picnic! In mid-July, we traveled to Sharon's old hometown for the annual Swisher County Parade and Reunion weekend. The parade started off with a fly-over of three old planes. Sharon was barely able to snap this picture as they kicked off the parade. This is a really old fire truck. Tulia. Does have an updated model. What parade is complete without tractors and equipment? Neither one of us would want to try to crawl into it!

Outside of town a ways, the scenery began to dramatically change as we headed toward the Colorado border, and I was excited about getting to the lake. Erin outside our trailer park in Bloomfield. I was very proud of my camera to be able to get this shot. I felt like my friend, Ada, with her great bird pictures. I never tire of seeing the mountains.
