Reflections and Comments on the Use of Technology in the Classroom. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Digital Storytelling using Mobiles. A social studies teacher was inspired by Tony Vincent's blog on project based learning and encouraged her students to show their learning on the Executive Branch using personal mobiles if they had access to them. I put together a few examples to share with the students. Here is a quick recap of my experience working with three digital storytelling applications. Http:/ cloning...

Reflections and Comments on the Use of Technology in the Classroom. Thursday, February 24, 2011. No Perfect App For Learning Multiplication Facts. I am still looking for the perfect app for students to learn multiplication facts. The app should:. Require the user to enter the product (rather than multiple choice). Allow the user to set the tables he/she is working on. Provide feedback and require the user the enter the correct product before going to the next problem. Track correct and incorrect responses.

EdTech Connect: December 2010

http://www.mrsprunty.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Reflections and Comments on the Use of Technology in the Classroom. Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Last week a fourth grade teacher approached me about the museum her class is creating on the Native Americans in Wisconsin. Students researched and wrote stories about different tribes, but she did not know the best way for students to share the information with visitors to the museum. I suggested that they try "Storyrobe," a free digital storytelling application. Wednesday, December 8, 2010. I'm at Level 81!

Dani Herro's Blog. Digital Literacy: From Research to Practice. Monthly Archives: January 2011. Human Resources RoundTable Discussion. January 27, 2011. Two weeks ago I was invited to present to Human Resources personnel from area industry, business, and public organizations (hospitals, schools etc). The topic, of course, was social media. My expertise with social media involves education much more than business, but unsurprisingly the implications for both include a great deal of overlap. January 9, 2011.
