Wednesday, October 31, 2012. We completed Day 2 of Centers this morning. We started a new reading strategy.predicting. The students did a wonderful job using the title, pictures, and first page to make predictions for their stories. We completed three stations in Math today. Students worked with front end rounding estimating while subtracting. We also worked on solving a problem where students had to identify the pattern. The third station was on the computer/Ipods. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. We were treated to our second January assembly this morning with a wonderful performance from Kindergarden. We came back to our room and continued to work on our Allen Sapp writing assignment that will wrap up our Word Choice unit. After recess, the students had Art with Mrs. Schentag. Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Activites from Day 4 of Centers were collected this morning. We will start new on Thursday. After recess, we completed the cloud activity that we started on Friday. Students were also given a 5 day homework piece in regards to clouds. This activity is due on Monday and is homework for the next 4 days. Students then looked at some weather instruments and how they can make them. Students need a jar for Monday. We will be making barometers. During Math, we completed Pods.

Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Because of the large number of students missing from Room 18 today, we didn't run Centers. Instead we worked through 4 stations. 1) Gordon Korman novel study. 2) Math Unit Review - Fractions. 4) Computers/First Nations Children's Book. After recess, we continued on with pods during Math. 2) Math Unit Review - corrected. 3) Fraction Number Lines/Equivalent Fractions. Remember Math test on Thursday, May 2!
