We started by looking at some of Laurel Burch's cats, then we drew our own pictures and added designs. Friday, August 7, 2015. Get to know Mrs. Smith! I'm Mrs. Rachelle Smith (my first name is pronounced Ruh-shell). This is my 8th year teaching 1st grade! I adore first graders! Teaching 6 year olds to read is my favorite. I'd love for you to get to know me a little bit. This is my husband, Mr. Smith. He works for the state of Utah and his favorite thing in the world is football (besides me, of course). We love to go on vacations together. Last year we went to Hawaii! Can't wait to get to know YOU!
