Tuesday, 17 March 2015. A Room 8 Lepracon! Happy St Pats Day! Top of da mornin to ya! Sunday, 15 March 2015. On Thursday Room Eight children became thesaurus hunters! Mrs England set three minute challenges to use their language thinking brain and a thesaurus to find new and exciting words to use in their everyday writing instead of using these tired, old words. We have more next week! Wednesday, 4 March 2015. Getting ready for camp! Doing the final prep for camp tomorrow can't wait! A Room 8 Lepracon!

Things we are reading about, writing about or mucking about with in Room 14! Thursday, 21 March 2013. After having a run through in the morning, the boys decided that they wanted to see how fast it could be completed in the afternoon. 16mins and 33secs is our record so far.I wonder how much faster we could go? The panels go up. The rakers start to straighten and strengthen the panels. Transons will support the chess (decking timber) later on. Foster oversees quality control. Most of the transoms are on.

Hmm five books to take with me in case I ever got stuck on a deserted island.In no particular order. 1 His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman; The Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass ( I'm being fairly sneaky here. I sure i would have brought an omnibus or a boxed set before the aeroplane ride). 2 The Dream Merchant by Isabel Hoving. 3 The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.

Monday, 9 September 2013. Jackie came to visit! On Friday 30th of August we were lucky enough to have Jackie Thomas visit our school. We were soooo excited leading up to the day. Some of the Room 9 children with a banner they had made. Some lucky children got to shake Jackie's hand when they received their Keycom certificates at assembly. Tuesday, 25 June 2013. We have started a new topic - Asia. We wrote down everything we know about Asia which wasn't much and then we wrote down everything we wanted to find out. It turns out we have a lot of questions to research! After that we got dressed up in some traditional Japanese outfits. Bringing out the inner ninja. Monday, 27 May 2013. We have been writing plays that have a safety message of some sort during writing time and we are creating our own puppets to use when we present the play. We have had a day of making our puppets here are some photos. Cutting out and stitching. And even more stitching! Keep your eyes out for our final products!
