childhood, uninterrupted: July 2013
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Thursday, 25 July 2013. I find myself with time to spare, so a little catch up is in order. I should like to note the arrival of the new heir to the throne. I am a big Royalist, and it makes me happy to see the British Monarchy thriving and drawing interest from around the world. I am also happy that I have earned myself £45 from betting he would be called George. Heh heh. O joy to the world. And this is me today:. Is this the standard of eye care I ca...

http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2014/10/i-knew-it-was-mistake.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Friday, 24 October 2014. I knew it was a mistake. To buy Maltesers AT ALL. Well, here we are again. We have enjoyed three weeks of high days and holidays, starting with a week in Ibiza at the beginning of the month. This was a real bargain holiday, coming in at £886 for the three of us, all inclusive, flying from our local airport, three miles up the road. Me likey muchly. I am not exaggerating. Oh, and I got a big ol' haircut:. Then I put a dye on it.

childhood, uninterrupted: September 2013
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Wednesday, 4 September 2013. September is upon us, and Autumn is a-knocking at the door of our fair summer. I have enjoyed this summer, made glorious by an early June abroad-earned tan and weight loss. I have even shaved my legs on a twice-weekly basis in celebration of my new found confidence in wearing shorts. Let me count the clothes. I am so very, very glad I went and saw the Colour Lady. Nothing is restrictive because it 'only goes with that pair ...

Essex Huffer – Life in Mud Spattered Boots
https://annewheaton.co.uk/2012/03/15/essex-huffer
Life in Mud Spattered Boots. March 15, 2012. April 21, 2016. The huffer is a triangular shaped soft roll, peculiar to Essex, which may have got its name from a corruption of half a loaf. Certainly, some local pubs serve huffers that are as large as half a loaf. Despite searching through recipe books and the internet, I haven’t been able to find an original recipe, so this is one of my own devising. To make your Essex Huffers you will need:. 60 g butter, cubed. 1 teasp Doves quick yeast. 280 ml cold water.

Carolina Knits: February 2015
http://carolinaknits.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. UFOs and a Scary Stash. I was accompanied by my family dog, a Labradoodle who, that particular time, was splayed on the bed on a quilt but who sat up with ears perked (as much as was possible with long floppy flaps) and growled every few minutes when a mysterious bang reverberated outside. (I think a loose shutter was hitting against the house.) Needless to say The Shining. This Eyelet Swirl hat pattern is available for free from Classic Elite. After dragging out my sewing mach...

Carolina Knits: December 2014
http://carolinaknits.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Last year, when I attended a class at Vogue Knitting Live, a fellow student, who was also a yarn shop owner, said that only about 30 percent of knitters who entered her shop came in with a plan in mind. The rest were happy to find inspiration from shop samples and eager to join other customers who were making the same project. Another shop owner in the group concurred with this estimate. Is to resemble a swaddled traveler on the steppes of Siberia (. While the shop sample is...

childhood, uninterrupted: Fish Face
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2014/09/fish-face.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Friday, 19 September 2014. I woke up this morning with a sandpapery feeling in my eyes. This is not my cat. To discover the cat was licking my eyebrows and sockets with fervour. I screwed up my eyes for fear she should lick off the top two surfaces of my eyeballs and tried to brave it out, as it is truly an honour that a cat should deign to take a break from licking it's own arse to give you a wash and brush up too. In no particular order:. This is the...

childhood, uninterrupted: January 2014
http://childhooduninterrupted.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Getting there. sometimes grating, sometimes gliding. Friday, 31 January 2014. Couple of crochet updates:. The join-as-you-go Mosaic blanket is coming along nicely at 8 squares (minimum before I can stop) per day. I spend a further 2 hours per week (usually when Oliver is otherwise occupied with lessons in something and there is no escape for me elsewhere) crocheting middles, so I never run out during a session. I also started this:. They are peach coloured Converse. Friday, January 31, 2014. I had no mor...
