My life with my husband with progressive MS. An Outing in the Bus. The nursing home takes residents on bus outings every week. I noticed these seem to be for “ambulant” residents, ie they get about with a walking frame or a little assistance, and they are able to get up the steps into the bus and sit in a normal seat for the two or three hours they are away. Our visit to the “second opinion” neurologist Dr Reyneke may seem like a waste of time since she was very clear that there was nothing that could be done for Don. However that is not the case; it was actually very helpful. I was rather taken aback and quite impressed because nobody in the past seemed to take any notice of that weakness on his right side. Sounds obvious, but it was a reality check and I’m trying to take it on board. No Help for Progressive MS.
