Sunday, January 29, 2017. Here Come the Grade 2s with their Transportation Dances! The Grade Two students are becoming knowledgable about many different forms of transportation and how they move in varied ways. Students have been making connections. Between these forms of transportation. And ways that they can be expressed in dance. They are learning to collaborate better, too. One of the concepts students connected with transportation was " Fantastic Shapes. Move your head and change your expression.

Monday, April 25, 2016. I am learning to understand what makes a healthy ocean and what makes an unhealthy ocean. Place all of the cards up so each group member can see them. Take turns discussing why one card may belong in a particular group. Give a reason for why you placed the card in a group. If you are not sure where a card goes, explain why you are unsure. Wednesday, 23 November 2016. Getting Started- Government Systems. Grade Six got started with our new Unit of Inquiry this week. The transdisciplinary theme for the unit is How We Organise Ourselves and our central idea is: How government systems function can influence the lives of citizens. Thursday, September 29, 2016. Growth Mindset and Goal Setting. I am learning to explore personal abilities. 1) Identify a personal strength. 2) Outline a range of personal strengths, giving examples to support claims. 3) Classify personal strengths based on selected transdisciplinary skills. Sunday, May 15, 2016. Elementary Sports Day 2016. We were treated to some glorious weather last Thursday for the annual Elementary Sports Day. Ms. Brittany and Mr. Hawkins had worked hard to organise the fun competitive events that saw the house teams compete against each other for the Sports Day trophy! Friday, November 4, 2016. Fourth graders developed their skills as writers during our first Narrative writing unit this year. After working vigorously through the writing process, collecting ideas and drafting; fourth graders picked their favorite draft to develop, edit and publish.
