Here We Are. . . Tuesday, February 11, 2014. I am loving Ethiopian food! Injera, the sour pancake like bread, is served with most dishes and is a delicious addition to all meals. We have eaten a lot of Shiro, which is a common dish made from ground chick pea flour and the spice berbere - so flavorful. We have also eaten, at most meals, some variation of Talapia, which is sourced right here at Lake Awassa. Before each meal hands are washed. A fun and enjoyable way to eat! Here We Are. . . Thursday, February 6, 2014. Our Journey begins in Burlington. We will fly to New York City, on to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and then to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. After a four hour drive through the Rift Valley we will arrive at our final destination - Awassa Ethiopia! February 12, 2014 at 9:47 AM.
