Stone Ranger: The Kingdom of Swaziland
http://stone-ranger.blogspot.com/2011/12/kingdom-of-swaziland.html
There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Friday, 2 December 2011. The Kingdom of Swaziland. Anna and I went to the Kingdom of Swaziland for the Remembrance Day weekend, which was absolutely amazing. What he says, goes! The kingdom is absolutely beautiful, and the people are just amazing, with a very laid back lifestyle. I will definitely go back at some stage ...

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Saturday, 29 October 2011. One of the main reasons that I visited Mapungubwe NP was to visit the heritage site here. It is an African Iron age site and part of the complex that includes Great Zimbabwe but pre-dating it. At its height, it was believed that Mapungubwe had about 5000 inhabitants. The railings folded up.

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Sunday, 25 September 2011. The good news is that the international money transfer came through finally on Friday. The problem was that the ABSA Bank computers had been down for a few days then it took them another day to sort the backlog out. So I have my new car! Therefore I am still stuck in Tzaneen for the near future.

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Sunday, 25 December 2011. I know I have been slack in posting over the last month or so, but now I have a life again outside of just travelling I have found other things to fill my spare time rather than just writing up my blog. Anna’s father, Ben Harris is a bit of a local legend around Polokwane. The term ‘Colou...

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Friday, 29 July 2011. Another Shopping Trip to Tzaneen. Well here I am sitting in Wimpy (a chain of café style restaurants which do really good breakfasts), drinking cappuccino and typing on the internet. Life in rural Africa can be really hard sometimes! We do it tough here. Today I am going to buy a raincoat, given th...

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Sunday, 20 November 2011. Johannesburg and the Women’s Prison. Constitution Hill also contained a Women’s Prison, which interestingly enough for me as an Australian was built in the same design as the ‘model prison’ at Port Arthur in Tasmania. The design was based on a 19. Some photos of the prison are included below.

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Tuesday, 6 December 2011. Over the last month or so I have spent most of the time in major South African cities, therefore I have not really had a chance to interact with a lot of wildlife, which is something I have missed. I really miss it! A young Kudu buck. The young Kudu buck again. Kudu does from the same herd.
Stone Ranger: Constitution Hill Fort

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Thursday, 17 November 2011. The following series of pictures deals specifically with the old fort on Constitution Hill. Unfortunately the interior was closed on the day I visited, but a walk around the ramparts was worthwhile just for the view over Jo’burg. The same view as above but from the top of the ramparts. Like a...

There is not one overall solution to the world's problems and nobody else is responsible to fix them. To preserve the future everybody must do their own small part. This is my small part. Friday, 2 December 2011. Living in the Northern Territory, especially remote, you do not get much of a chance to see international sporting fixtures, therefore I told myself that I would try to get along to the cricket while I was in South Africa. Wanderer's Stadium at Jo'burg decked out in pink. South Africa are ba...
