Friday, February 27, 2009. Today interim reports were sent home with students for the month of February. I have asked that they be signed by parents and returned by Tuesday March 3. Students have until Monday March 2 to complete any missing assignments. We have been listening to Samurai Shortstop this week and ended at chapter 17 today. Thursday, January 29, 2009. Today in class students had 10 minutes to finish their Posters from yesterday. We watched Freedom Writers for the remainder of class. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Monday and Tuesday's class. With the cold weather this week attendance numbers have been down. Yesterday we played a Chapter 5 review game for the test today and second period students began working on their Chapter 6 B- thrild. Today buses were running late so students worked on their B-t hrild. Iwakura Mission comic is past due. Limerick is due Wednesday March 11. Chapter 6 B-thrild is due Thursday March 12. Thursday, February 19, 2009. Today in class we listened to Chapters 8 and 9 of Samurai Shortstop. We wrote chapter summaries for both chapters. Students were given back their Chapter 4 tests which they put in their portfolios. For our second period students finished their Rabbit Proof Fence video questions and chapter 5 vocabulary.
