I have realized that at so...

Hanging like a ragdoll. The obligatory Peace Corps blog disclaimer: "The views expressed in this blog are in no way intended to represent the views of the Peace Corps or the United States Government.". It s hot in Panamá. Hot. Mac and I are sweating in an internet café in our regional capital, pounding out our first quarterly reports for the Peace Corps. Snow is already flurrying around the Great Plains. Shaggy horses with their winter coats turned tails to the wind. Posted by Brooke @ 11:45 AM. Introduc...

The obligatory Peace Corps blog disclaimer: "The views expressed in this blog are in no way intended to represent the views of the Peace Corps or the United States Government.". Oil, cows and George Strait, don'tcha know? A sign as you enter my town says "Welcome to Medora: The edge of the west." The mentality in the area is definately midwestern, and geographically we're the great plains, but whatever. If the tourists will buy more Kewpie dolls in "the west" so let it be. Driving...

When are we ever going to use this? The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards." -Anatole France. Saturday, September 03, 2005. Just finished my first 4 days of preservice work. Since we moved to a new (to us) facility this year there has been a lot of unpacking and scrounging of materials. I am exhausted, but not overwhelmed. This is a good thing. I will write a more detailed report sometime this weekend.
