MY STORY photo project 4/ Training Teachers. Thursday, April 23, 2009. Set the self-timer, then leap into the picture! It really is this dark. Saturday, March 21, 2009. The next morning the students mounted the photos they had chosen for exhibition on the wall ( newsprint and masking tape) and then set out plastic chairs. MY STORY photo project 4/ Training Teachers. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Our home for the next eight days is the KYO office; we have the upstairs loft space which we will share with Bob, a small mouse that sounds like a large rodent at night. Class room is downstairs; the work surface is one half of a ping pong table that we keep trying to up end by inadvertently leaning on it. One of their assignments is to take portraits of each other. Using a piece of cloth, they created a portrait studio!

Sanghklaburi: Teacher, it's soft! 20 students, 5 cameras, 2 teachers. who's in charge here? Monday, March 28, 2011. It's a long way to Sanghklaburi.or you can't get there from here. We were going to do two photo workshops for a Mon post-10 school in Sanghklaburi, a pretty town tucked in a river valley some 230 kms north of Bangkok, close to Three Pagodas Pass on the Thai/Burma border. So you'd think it wouldn't be all that far from Mae Sot; which is even farther north. 4:30 am Mo Chit bus station, Bangkok.

Through Saw Eh Shoe's eyes. Life on the border. He runs Kwe Ka Baung Karen National School, a big name for a school with 400 plus students in a cramped couple of buildings behind the Mae Sot market. Saw Eh Shoe took the MY STORY photo project teacher training course in 2009 and has just finished teaching his first photo workshop with 8 of his students.
