My parents are supportive of me having black friends, but they become concerned when they hear me slip into an accent or hear of my involvement in black organi...

A blog about race. Don’t Forget the PWMs! By Meg on November 2, 2012. This article is a response to a recent article published in. I dropped by the sewing circle for about an hour and helped with the project: stitching down a number of blue diamonds that had been placed and temporarily fixed onto the surface of a blanket that had seen some cutting and restructuring itself. Watt had done the designing and basting (here, a sewing term for using long, loose stitches); it was our job to secure the design. Maya begins on a diamond.
