Mara's World: September 2010
http://marashaw.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. OK, that title may be overstepping a bit, but hey.it's my blog! When I was little, my mom worked full time and my father did most of the cooking. His veggie choice always consisted of boiled peas (his favourite) that he would prepare and boil early in the day and the meat choice was always heavily peppered. To this day, my brother and I hardly ever eat peas! Once I decided on a recipe, I had to go shopping! I had to buy almost everything on the list! Yep, the final product!

Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Breakfast, Crackerjacks, Baseball, and Fireworks. A few days ago it was my husband's 31st Birthday, so to begin our day we went out for breakfast. Elysia loved the French toast, and she was quite the little hit in the restaurant! It was really nice, she was all smiles and chatty, and Steve and I were able to enjoy a really pleasant breakfast. When was the last time you ate Crackerjacks? Steve and I loved it, and it was the perfect way to end the day. What a Birthday! Steve is re...

Saturday, February 11, 2012. My kids are growing up way too fast. OK, I know my daughter is only 2 1/2, and my son is (haha) only 2 months old, but they really are growing up way too fast! I can't believe my boy is already 11 weeks. How can that be? In some ways I don't mind. Elysia is now officially potty-trained. Yeah! We are officially out of diapers and into pull-ups and big girl panties. Woohoo! Elysia has an absolutely delicious sense of humour. I love it! It's nice and sad at the same time. I ...

Monday, May 24, 2010. Pancake Breakfast and May Day Parade. Today we got up early and headed to Fort Langley for our first parade. Before the parade started there was a pancake breakfast that we just had to attend. After filling our tummies with a yummy breakfast, we headed over to find a good spot to watch the parade. I love community things like this! We just arrived at the parade, and found the perfect place to sit and watch the festivities. The best family pic I managed to take. It was a fun day!

Thursday, January 26, 2012. Fall and Winter 2011. It's now tradition. Every year we go to this wonderful Farm/Pumpkin Patch in Maple Ridge. Elysia and I enjoying looking at the farm animals. Elysia loves seeing all of the animals at the farm. Time to choose a pumpkin! A work of ART! Absolutely the cutest lil' Cow ever! Trick or Treating at Grandma and Grampa's house. Elysia LOVED trick or treating. She didn't want to stop! She'd say every time I asked her if she was ready to go home. I just love this pic.
