המשק נוסד בשנת 1951 עי ישראל ומרים בלומנטל שהגיעו לכפר מהעיר הגדולה תל אביב עם חלום נעורים - להקים משק צאן. את החלום רקם ישראל בנעוריו בקיבוץ תל יוסף שם עבד בדיר והתאהב בעיזים והכבשים. בתחילה התפרנס המשק מגדול פירות , מלול תרנגולות ופרדס. בתחילת שנות השמונים נוצרה ההזדמנות ויחד עם החתן אברהם רכש המשק עדר קטן של 40 כבשים. כך החלה הגשמתו של החלום - העדר גדל וצמח ל 300 ראש ובראשית שנות התשעים חל מפנה , ועם העלייה במודעות הציבורית לערכו הבריאותי של חלב העזים, הוחלט להסב את המשק ולהופכו למשק צאן למטרות חלב.
