MUCH IS TRUE: September 2012
http://muchistrue.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Adventures in art, faith, and life. Thursday, September 13, 2012. Last weekend, I went to a wedding in the small town I spent most of my summers in growing up. I could have stayed there forever. In the morning we hobbled around the house, sore and tired and aching in every limb, but each of us was perceptibly lighter too. And these days, a slightly lighter load makes all the difference. MUCH IS TRUE: April 2012

Adventures in art, faith, and life. Sunday, April 29, 2012. Think of the past - the long road you and I - your ancestors and mine have traveled - of the many obstacles we and others have to overcome; Think of the present, of the goodness of God, of the many opportunities, of the love, the sunshine; of friendship, flowers, birds, and music, of skies, rivers and. Hills, of books, music, and plays, of the infinite acts of kindness which we witness every day. Friday, April 27, 2012. Ugh, pell no! I've been t...

Adventures in art, faith, and life. Sunday, February 26, 2012. Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there someday.". Sometimes the only way out is the way through. If J is correct {and I honestly can't think of a time her life advice to me has ever been incorrect}, then I have to learn to take smaller steps, to worry less about the end of the road than the getting there {oh, a cliche! Saturday, February 25, 2012. As simple as this. It is a simple as coming into work on evening and descending...
MUCH IS TRUE: March 2012
http://muchistrue.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Adventures in art, faith, and life. Friday, March 30, 2012. The fault in our stars. The Fault in Our Stars. I should tell you before I begin this post, that I am a bit of a mess at present. I needed the tissues because of this: The Fault in Our Stars. A few months back, a dear friend of mine slipped quietly away. I will freely admit to crying my way through most of The Fault in Our Stars. A cup of tea deferred, a lingering hand on a photograph, and then everything breaking apart. View my complete profile.
MUCH IS TRUE: June 2012
http://muchistrue.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Adventures in art, faith, and life. Monday, June 4, 2012. When my aunt died two months ago, suddenly and in indescribable tragedy, one of my dearest and oldest friends, Sophie, wrote an email from Europe. Having heard of the terrible sadness that had engulfed our extended family and feeling the enormous loss of Andrea's life herself, Sophie committed herself to lighting candles in memory of Andrea and in support of our family at each church. Thank you Sophie, I love you. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Much Is Required Of Us | Luke 12:48
Much Is Required Of Us. Waiting for the Spirit (Chapter 13). April 26, 2012. The theme of this chapter from The Spirit of Christ by Andrew Murray comes from Acts chapter 1:. And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. (Acts 1:4-5 ESV). So what form does this waiting take? O Lord, teach us to wait.

It was pitch dark this morning when my son began screaming at his younger brother for stealing the olives off of his plate with such an intensity that you’d think the olives were the last memento from an old lover who’d just died. Why was he eating olives for breakfast? Funny that you ask. My 10-year-old daughter decided she was going to eat olives together with her omelet and knäckebröd. Bread, which is actually a brand.
