literary interpretation

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. I would still consider myself a fan of graphic novels.just not of the ones we read in this class. Blankets didn't really appeal to me because I am neither in love or very religious. I think I have grown as a reader. I have learned to look more deeply into the meanings of words and wonder and infer why the author would choose certain words or descriptions. I think that I have become a better reader, and am able to pick out important information. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Theodore...

literary interpretation: January 2009

http://www.mudgulpleais.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Danny was battling a couple of things. The main thing was himself. He was so afraid of embracing his heritage that he lashed out at anything that would cause suspicion that he was not just a cookie-cutter boy. Chin-Kee was his other enemy. It was not by design, it was just that Danny felt that his newly found school life was being threatened. Monday, January 26, 2009. Our ability to relate and transfer fictional ideas to reality? In Harry Potter for example, race could be see...

literary interpretation: February 2009

http://www.mudgulpleais.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. I don't know what form I will have my research project be just yet (although I am leaning toward the multimedia one). I would like to focus on Emily Dickinson's poem "Much Madness is the Divinest Sense.". I think that this topic is interesting and will have some information available to support my tentative hypothesis. I could give examples of others who spoke their minds and were out-casted for it. PS I have to use another text to go along with this. I believe in God, but I...

But today I spat out a poem and I've worked it and worked it and I want. We've Got These Big City Dreams. Run, don't walk the sky is falling. Wellhere's a poem. and I haven't written in about 45 years. nothing much has changed, except the location. All is well. :) Paperchased Write me a mirac.

literary interpretation

http://www.mudgulpleais.blogspot.com/2009/04/i-really-like-plot-of-midsummer-nights.html

Monday, April 13, 2009. I really like the plot of A Midsummer Night's Dream, but Neil Gaiman's version was a bit too chaotic for me to follow easily. When I first started reading this piece I was thrown off when Shakespeare bounded into the panels. I had to reread that to understand he was going to be a part of this as well. The idea of being unsure who the audience is makes me wonder. Take that twisted idea and put it into reality. Who is watching who? And who is acting for who? Puck and Oberon were the...

Tuesday, March 31, 2009. How happy some o'er other some can be! Through Athens I am thought as fair as she. But what of that? Demetrius thinks not so;. He will not know what all but he do know:. And as he errs, doting on Hermia's eyes,. So I, admiring of his qualities:. Things base and vile, folding no quantity,. Love can transpose to form and dignity:. Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind;. And therefore is wing'd Cupid painted blind:. Nor hath Love's mind of any judgement taste;. Pages 68-69...

http://heatherhengblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/neil-gaiman-sandman-dream-country.html

Monday, April 13, 2009. Neil Gaiman The Sandman Dream Country. Neil Gaiman's adaptation of a Midsummer night's dream was somewhat hard to follow it was as if there was too much going on. The characters seemed to be somewhat dark , puck especially who looked like a goblin from a horror movie. I didn't really like this adaptation i prefer the manga. The set of panels that interested me the most were the panels with puck on page 85 he just looks so dark and scary almost like The Grinch.

Roses and Literature: Class Evaluation: 2

http://english1100-emily.blogspot.com/2009/04/class-evaluation-2.html

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. At the beginning of the semester I definitely remember not being a fan of graphic novels whatsoever; and i can say that only reading Shakespeare in a graphic novel format still made me kind of not enjoy reading graphic novels. But honestly, I have never enjoyed reading Shakespeare.but after this class, i think my opinions towards shakespeares works are starting to change into a more positive nature. Anyways! Thinking in Pink: Reflection

http://emily-thinkingforclassinpink.blogspot.com/2009/04/reflection.html

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. The main impact that the literature that we have read has had on me is that when I am a teacher I will be more open to differnt kinds of texts like comics. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Ideas for Research Paper. First off, i am very interested in doing my research paper in the style of multigenre. I think it's a very creative way of writing a research paper. Honestly, I'm sick of the traditional way. Plus, I am more of a creative writer.i'll probably have too much fun with this type of paper. Some different topics that i have in mind:. I like the idea that Shannon brought up, Whalt Whitman and the idea of what it means to. By talking about brown eyes. Yeah,...

Andie's Blog: American Gothic

http://andiezblog-andie.blogspot.com/2009/01/american-gothic.html

Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Right off the bat in this picture I noticed the hay pick. The hay pick is centered in the middle of the picture and it is also a pointed object. I think that it is supposed to symbol the hardships that these people went through because I think of hard work and difficult tasks when i think of it. It isn't exactly like he's holding roses. .
