Wednesday, December 12, 2012. There are no big cities in Vermont. The largest is Burlington, while the state capitol - Monteplier - is really small. We did manage to visit the town of Bennington and look at their covered bridges, the Battle Monument, and Batman. The last one at a local movie theater that could use an upgrade. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Coatzacoalcos was to me a lot like Poza Rica, but with a beach in addition (at least the the official website. Have some nice pictures) as well as being the birth place of Salma Hayek. Admittedly we did not explore the town, but after passing a dozen or so questionable truck-stop motels when entering the town it was hard to stay motivated for acting the part of a tourist. First impression of the town is that it is all about oil and satisfying some long-transport drivers "urges".

Sunday, July 29, 2012. Cancun is located in the state of Quintana Roo on the Yucatán Peninsula. It has the nicest sand combined with really clear water which results in one of the best beaches I've ever been on. If travelling inland it may get a bit hot in the summer months so I recommend visiting the place sometime between October and March/April although it may get a bit expensive during the holidays. It is located in the heart of the city and offers an impressive view down Paseo de la Reforma. I think I read somewhere that Chapultepec Castle is the only Royal Castle in North America. Saturday, January 26, 2013. Edzna is an archaeological site in the Mexican state of Campeche. It is maybe an hours drive south from the city of Campeche. To me Edzna is the most impressive site I've seen on The Yucatan Peninsula so far. The absence of visitors did help to make this a most impressive experience.
