8230; notes, thoughts, rants, and randomness. Laquo; PBP: 088 Location. The PBP likes documentation in POD, in your source files, but wants it all in one chunk, separated from the code it documents. This is one of the suggestions in the PBP I not only disagree with, I find damaging. I feel strongly that the documentation goes as close to the code as possible, to minimize the distance between them and make the tendency to avoid updating them harder to forget. Everything I have done shows that documentatio...

Friday, July 4, 2014. Project : Perl virtual tables for DBD: SQLite. My main motivation for doing this work is to be able to build a framework for collections of documents, using SQLite for the fulltext index, and using the filesystem for storing document content : this will be a much more powerful replacement for my very old File: Tabular: Web: Attachment: Indexed. July 4, 2014 at 12:35 PM. Did my previous comment got lost? Uff, I seems am having a dull morning! July 5, 2014 at 8:46 AM. You may also fin...

ldami: Plack::App::* namespace is not for apps - so which is the proper CPAN namespace ?
http://ldami.blogspot.com/2014/07/plackapp-namespace-is-not-for-apps-so.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Plack: App: * namespace is not for apps - so which is the proper CPAN namespace? OOps I just realized that I had misunderstood the intent of the Plack: App. Namespace : the top-level Plack doc explicitly says :. Plack: namespace to build a new web application or a framework. It's like naming your application under CGI: namespace if it's supposed to run on CGI and that is a really bad choice and would confuse people badly. And the 2009 Plack Advent Calendar. Goes even further with.

Haskell is a very interesting language, and shows up on sites like http:/ programming.reddit.com. But discussion on sites like reddit usually falls a little flat when someone asks a question like:. If haskell has all these wonderful advantages, what amazing applications have been written with it? Tightly controlled side effects. In so many c...

This is okay. Different kinds of docs might go in different places. But the reference docs that document every function work well in POD, and that belongs in your source module.
