I'm writing...it's a miracle: February 2009

Sunday, February 01, 2009. Southern Odyssey and Rider Mania 2009 - Jan 18, 2009 to Jan 31, 2009. A helpful motorist led us back onto the NH4. Motorists always complain about the road conditions in India, but one ride on the NH4 would make up for all the bad times on the road. Long stretches of straights where you can really test your machine! In the morning we decided to go to the Cantonment Area and Fort that was built by the British. We also saw a 100 year old church. We then headed towards Hassan thro...

Sunday, November 23, 2008. Malshej Ghat - Nov 22, 2008. 11 people on 7 bikes were planning a trip to Malshej ghat in Maharashtra on a Saturday. The group captain knew Karthik and that’s how 3 more bikers were added to the list. We were to meet at 0700 hrs at Thane, but other than a few, none of the others were on time. One of the bikers was still in bed, thinking it was a Sunday ride! The rest of the journey was thankfully uneventful, other than a massive traffic jam at Kalyan. Links to this post. All I ...

I'm writing...it's a miracle: Kashid Beach– 26 Jan 2007
http://wride-on.blogspot.com/2009/03/kashid-beach-26-jan-2007.html
Sunday, January 28, 2007. Kashid Beach– 26 Jan 2007. The next day I had to leave since I had a lot of packing to do since I was travelling to the US in a couple of weeks. Velancio decided to ride back with me. The ride back was much faster, with the Bull reaching its first 60 and 70 (I was still running it in, so quit snickering). We reached Mumbai by evening. Ride to Kashid Beach, a set on Flickr. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm writing.it's a miracle. Writing about my motorcycle riding.

I'm writing...it's a miracle: December 2006
http://wride-on.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 17, 2006. Lonavala – Dec 16, 2006. Shiny new Bullet owners, we were now itching to get our tyres on shiny roads. We had just about completed 500 kms, a magic number, or so our manual said. The Bullet acquires new powers, it transforms into a beast capable of going anywhere, anyway, anyhow'. 8230;or so we thought we read. We reached Mumbai at about 1700 hrs; taking breaks on the way, with lots of photos and videos. No teething trouble. Good first ride! Ride to Lonavala, a set on Flickr.

Wednesday, November 05, 2008. Vansda National Park - Nov 1, 2008 to Nov 2, 2008. We had decided to do a circular route starting off on the NH8 towards Valsad, right onto a state highway to Saputara, and then towards Nashik and back to Bombay via the NH3. All I can say about the NH8 is that it is truck infested! Moral of the story – Look both sides of the bridge before jumping. We went to the river to swim and get the previous days moss off. Close to the other bank we saw a thousand butterflies flutte...

I'm writing...it's a miracle: Wow...its been a while
http://wride-on.blogspot.com/2015/05/wowits-been-while.html
Thursday, May 14, 2015. Wowits been a while. I suppose life gets in the way and you forget to live. Lots of things have happened, changed, fallen apart and all that good stuff since the last ride log. There have been quite a few rides meanwhile (thankfully), including on a nice spanking new machine. Let's call her Tiggeress. I think I'm going to try and remember the rides and write 'em down. so let's see how that goes! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm writing.it's a miracle. Wowits been a while.

http://wride-on.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 22, 2006. Sep 30, 2006. Juhu beach, Mumbai. Sea in front, colors of the sun in the sky, warm sea breeze, lots of people around. Errsome Saturday in August me thinks. We’re friggin earning here, aren't we? We’re friggin old enough, aren't we? Let's go buy one ourselves! Hmm…so now they needed to discuss when and which one! Blogs, forums, websites, people…no one was spared. They needed to know which one. Finally they decided on the Electra. It was still a Bullet, but wit...They went to th...

I'm writing...it's a miracle: Amby Valley – Dec 27, 2008
http://wride-on.blogspot.com/2008/12/amby-valley-dec-27-2008.html
Sunday, December 28, 2008. Amby Valley – Dec 27, 2008. In about a month, we would be on our way to Ooty for our Southern Odyssey. We had to check if the bikes were capable of such treacherous conditions. especially since mine was acting a little sick. The only way to check was to do a ‘gruelling’ ride and see if anything goes kaput. We decided we’d go to Lonavala without any breaks, eat breakfast and return. I didn’t know there was such a thing. There was a young chap sitting with a laptop there. He ...
