Diary of a Deaf Mum. Skip to primary content. Sponge printing : Whale. October 14, 2011. C was intriguied about whales recently. He learned to differentiate blue whale, humpback whale and killer whale by their size and color. I initiated a spontaneous sponge painting session – blue whale. My mum peeked and asked C what the shape was. “Humpback whale.”, he excitedly said. Haha. I cut out a sponge into a shape of whale. C chose 3 colors – white, light blue and dark blue. He just kept on sponging the plate.

C stood on Didi’s cot and threw the measuring tape over. 8220;Fishing”, C said. 8220;Oh, you are fishing. How many did you catch? 8221;, I asked. 8221;, he said excitedly. Welcome to my blog. I’m a deaf mum to two hearing boys, aged 4 and 3. I live in Singapore with the hubby (also deaf) and the boys. Being a deaf mum brings challenges in my parenting journey. My hubby and I raise our boys with a difference – we teach them sign language. I introduced Signing Time. When the boys were about 7 months old. I believe sign language is a beautiful tool in communicating with us, the parents. We teach them surrounding toys / environment in sign language. UR doing an amazing job!

Und wieder hatte ich ein wunderbares Buch, das ich euch kurz nahelegen möchte. Ich fange mal mit dem Cover an. Da Bild und der Titel haben mich sehr angesprochen.
