Saturday, August 22, 2009. Lucas's First Day of First Grade! Lucas went to his first day of First Grade on Thursday- I barely slept the night before worry about the fact that he was taking the bus for the first time and worry about him making it home safely. also, the general worry about him making friends and doing well in school. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Painted rooms in our house. Here are photos of all of the painting that we have been doing- our kitchen is red.as you can see. Abby's room is so bright yellow that I keep thinking that a light is on up there, but it is just the sunlight shining brightly in there. Lucas's room is a bright orange! It took 3 coats. Monday, September 28, 2009. The Triumphant return of Elder and Sister Hartzell! So, on September 10, Abby and I went to the airport to pick up my parents who were just coming home from the Tokyo, Japan mission! We were so thrilled to see them again! We are so excited to have them home.of course, they will be leaving shortly to go and visit some of my siblings, so we won't see them as much as we would like right now, but now they live here and we will get to see them a lot! Lucas lost his first teeth!

Steak and chicken fajitas and spanish rice. Mmmm! After dinner we all hung out and colored on the tablecloth. Mom's pretty retirement flowers. Just this cute, silly girl I know! Found this little surprise when making Olivia's bed. I wish I had video of me and Jay trying to catch it. It was very entertaining. Jay finally used his lizard whisperer skills (his words, not mine) and was able to catch it and let it go out back. The little people were thrilled to have Cosmo around. Kids LOVE getting dollars.
