We've been here since February and hadn't walked up to the incredibly peaceful area behind Tushita where there is a stupa of Trijang Rinpoche (junior tutor to HH Dalai Lama) and home to many meditators. until now. I walked up there with Free and Julie as the mists of the monsoon rolled in (well, hmm, we took at taxi to Tushita - only because of time restriction.). We've been a little snap happy over the views from our house. When the mist and clouds come rolling in and we are either in them or above them its just beautiful! And the sunsets are pretty good too! I was showing one of the little girls how a pro skips from my 'Jump Rope for Heart' days when I was in year 7. She didn't understand a word I said but skipping transcends all languages. Tushita and the surrounding mountains support two species of monkeys. The smaller brown ones with the red face and bottom - very cheeky, naughty and common (. And the snow monkeys (some kind of Grey Langur - genus. Long fur and limbs, shy and not so common. There are some monkey rules:. 1 Don't look them in the eye, this indicates an aggressive stance to a monkey. Look down and be submissive. 2 Never smile at a monkey. In and around Perth. We took our bikes for a spin on Rotto island. I love this place. Snorkling off the beach and little furries hopping around. I can't believe it took so long to check the place out! Kylie and Luke's beauiful Margaret River wedding. Rob looked sooo handsome! Rocko friends. I love these shots! Satu's brother Simo has a great beard from this angle! 40 Degrees in the Flinders Ranges. Most of the pics were taken as I jumped out of the A/C of the car! There is an emu in the pic below.

A difficult journey for a spectacular view. So this is what we walk, sweated and staggered for 3 to 4 hours for. no not the half naked guy on the right, but the magic view of the mountains, which we saw for approximately 2 minutes before it disappeared behind the clouds. Puncuk Pass and Taman Safari. The beautiful (cool) Puncuk Park, where tea is picked and safari's can be had, was a great little getaway with the family. This was the view from our room. Farewell Ani Rita and Nigan. We gathered to farewell two of Tushitas long term favourites last Sunday.
