LC&CC are working with the Dept. of Education to facilitate with planning application for the two new junior schools which they hope will open in September 2016. To this end the Part 8 is required and LC&CC has decided to have an Open Meeting in Mungret Regional FC on Tuesday 12. Posted 7 Jul 2013, 11:50. The contractor, MJS, intends to re-surface the Pump road (L1402) either on Tues. 9th or Wed. 10th July. The works will take one day. The road will be closed and diversion signs and routes will be in place. Update Jan 15th 2013. Posted 15 Jan 2013, 06:22. MJS have carried out patch repairs to the left hand side of the pump road. The festival has kindly granted the Community Council a car park to be supervised (location TBC) as a fundraiser. If we run this successfully it will mean no more fundraising for us for the foreseeable future. The car park will be supervised from 5pm to 12pm each day. Our pride is at stake! Posted 9 Jun 2015, 03:43. MCC have entered the Going For Gold competition. As well as applying for valuable funding our village pride is at stake. At some time over the summer our village will be inspected and assessed. We have put thousands of euros into our village beds and volunteers have kept the village looking spic and span. Now it's your turn to help. Please give an hour on the evening of Wednesday 24th June at 7pm to pull weeds, do a bit of sweeping etc.
