尾張旭市旧新居村に伝承する無二流棒の手の起源は、康安元年 １３６１年 新居村を開いた水野又太郎良春が、無二 むに と称して南朝方の僧将 そうしょう として、吉野山 奈良県 にいたところ、当時の吉野金峰山寺の執行であった吉水宗信法印から真公秘授兵法として、棒術と修験道儀礼を授けられ、新居村に移ると配下の農民に棒術を教え農兵団を組織するとともに、村の祝祭に修験道儀礼をとりいれたとされている。 鶴留笈風舞 つるどめ おいかぜ のまい と称する基本棒を使う作法である。 土座亀戸風舞 どざ かめど かぜのまい と称される四人棒を使う。

康安元年 1361 新居村を開いた水野又太郎良春は、無二と称して南朝方の憎将として吉野山 奈良県 にいたころ、当時の吉野金峰山寺の執行であった宗信法印から真公秘技兵法として、棒術と修験道儀礼を授けられた。 現在、祭礼に使用する棒に、小さくたたんだ白紙をまき 心の封紙 と称しているが、本来は棒が神の よりしろ であることを示す意味のものである。 演技の始めに、 一丸爾 あるいは いただく と称する動作をする。 伝えられている彼の修行について、くわしく検討すると、棒の修行もさることながら、 木食行 不動不眠行 など山伏修験の修行そのものである。 文禄二年 1593 無二流を開いた享風兼政、寛文元年 1661 型式を完成した大徳政良父子は、なぜか当山派 真言宗系 に転じ、ともに大覚院を名のる修験者である。 現在の各流派の 本手 とか 表 とか 舞 と称するものが、これにあたる。 莱岳院良雄の名でだされた巻物は、宝永五年 1708 及び同六年、正徳三年 1713 及び同四年、順海の名でだされたものに元文三年 1738 のものが、それぞれ現存している。 とはいうものの花棒は、まったくあたらしく考案されたものではな...
