Other such deities include Sri Maduruai Veeran, Sri Ayyanar, Karuppasamy. These deities are usually found in the boundaries of South Indian Villages for safe guardining people. VeeraMunishwarar has a large following of devotees in Singapore and Malaysia too. Muni' means 'saint' and 'iswara' represents 'Shiva'.
