Saturday, June 27, 2009. The children were asked to bring in canned goods for the food bank for Vacation Bible School this year. We took the children to the grocery store and had them each pick out a few cans to give. Here is the conversation that occurred when it was time to pack them up for VBS:. Me: Let's get our cans together to take to VBS. Nathan: I don't want to. Me: You know how when you are hungry, you tell Mommy "I'm hungry"? Me: What does Mommy do? Kids: (looks of pure confusion and hurt).

Sunday, December 6, 2009. Our furry friend Clifford the hamster finally passed away. He will be missed! Nathan struggled with this and did a lot of crying today because he missed Clifford and didn't know where he was. We had a funeral, buried him, talked about the fact that Clifford's body didn't work anymore and that he went to heaven. This seemed to make Nathan feel a bit better but not quite satisfied. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Well, more like a lower case 'fire'. Our washing machine blew up today. Luckily, I was working at home and was able to catch it. I think it's a blown motor, but I'm not going to plug it back in to diagnose it. The house smells like electrical smoke, but no scorch marks. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Cammie turned 3 on June 21! She had a party at Monkey Joe's, with lunch, cake and presents at Nana and Papa's house on Monday. We all had a great time. Thanks to friends and family for her awesome gifts! Andy and I have had as much fun as she has playing with them (with her, of course :)! Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Cammie turned 4 on June 21. We are enjoying the last few weeks of summer as we think of the upcoming Fall schedule. On August 21, Cammie starts Pre-Ballet classes on Saturday mornings. She took a trial class and she loved it (and we loved watching! The teacher was so great with these 4-5 year olds.
