Thursday, April 06, 2006. The Outsiders: Response to Ch. 8&9. Pony says that greasers don't have much but they have their reputation. "What kind of world is it where all I have to be proud of is a reputation for being a hood, and greasy hair? I don't want to be a hood, even if I don't steal.I'm marked as lousy." We know there is more to Pony than his reputation, but that is still how the world sees him. How can labeling people be dangerous and hurtful? For example: What if he had been labeled a brain?

Thursday, April 06, 2006. The Outsiders: Response to Chapter 7. The newspaper said that Johnny and Pony were juvenile delinquents turned heroes. I think that the boys weren’t heroes before because i think that they had lots of fights and that they didn’t valued what they had and what they did to each other and all the things they did weren’t very nice they killed one of them!
