Ecclesia Domestica: SIP's have arrived!
http://eccdom.blogspot.com/2009/11/sips-have-arrived.html
Monday, November 2, 2009. The structural insulated panels are onsite and ready to be assembled (finally). If you've been wondering, there was a few more days of delay last week when the assembly crew was coming off of another job and needing to get their heavy equipment in place at our site. At any rate, here's a few pics from this morning:. The SIP's have been off-loaded from the delivery trucks and lifted into stacks near where they will be assembled. The Enercept system is the only SIP (structural ins...
Ecclesia Domestica: At last... the final conceptual scheme!
http://eccdom.blogspot.com/2007/11/at-last-final-conceptual-scheme.html
Tuesday, November 20, 2007. At last. the final conceptual scheme! This will be the mother of all posts, definitely the longest I'll ever do on this blog. It's finally here! Eg kitchen located far from the garage, bedroom and laundry arrangements), adds orthogonality to the design to reduce cost. And combines the best elements of Scheme C. Our previously chosen favorite) with those of Scheme A. And even some of Scheme B. Here are a comparison of Scheme A and C in regard to their overall concept and how th...
Ecclesia Domestica: July 2011
http://eccdom.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 23, 2011. In early June, Clara and Aidan had an opportunity to participate in a pioneer school experience at the West Riverside Museum School. The kids especially enjoyed spending their recess time playing "Red Rover" and "Annie, Annie Over". The first day home, Aidan said, "There's this thing called 'recess'." I had to laugh at the fact that my home-schooled son had never heard of recess even though he's sent outdoors every day! Outside the Historic Schoolhouse. A schoolboy at his desk.
Ecclesia Domestica: First batch of chapel construction photos!
http://eccdom.blogspot.com/2015/07/first-batch-of-chapel-construction.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. First batch of chapel construction photos! Construction of the chapel indeed began on July 6, 2015 with a brief visit from our contractor and a first removal of some siding where the door of the chapel will go. From that point, I was a little prepared for the hole that would ensue in our backyard in order to place the frost footings and foundation. A little more grass planting will need to happen than I was planning! With Molly and my brother in the original house construction :-).
Ecclesia Domestica: After a long wait... our chapel build starts July 6, 2015!
http://eccdom.blogspot.com/2015/07/after-long-wait-our-chapel-build-starts.html
Saturday, July 4, 2015. After a long wait. our chapel build starts July 6, 2015! It has been a long wait while we saved to add the chapel that was originally designed as part of our home. In fact, so long that we've grown our family in the meantime! Molly and I are now blessed with seven children here with us on earth, our latest additions being Oliver (who will be 3 in August) and Zélie (who will be 1 also in August, on the same day as Oliver). Zélie is named after Blessed Zélie Martin. Subscribe to: Po...

Ecclesia Domestica: August 2011
http://eccdom.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Design for a storage shed. I'll admit, I wasn't too excited about a shed once I realized I needed one. Lots of sheds are eye-sores, and I'd want something that goes well with our house. But, after finishing the design, now I am excited about it. I think we'll end up with a shed that goes nicely with our house and will solve our storage problems in the garage. Here's a pic of the design (click any picture to enlarge):. And here it is with some dimensions:. New to this blog?
Ecclesia Domestica: At last... the first conceptual drawings of our home!
http://eccdom.blogspot.com/2007/08/at-last-first-conceptual-drawings-of.html
Tuesday, August 7, 2007. At last. the first conceptual drawings of our home! Okay, drum roll please. finally it's time to present and discuss the first conceptual drawings of our home! We desire only to grow rich in the things that matter to God, and this home must only. Come to fruition if it plays a part in achieving that end. I've posted recently ( here. Before I get into it, a few random notes:. Because I pride myself in logic, we will devote this first post to Scheme A. This kind of shows the main a...

MURALS / FAUX ART
MURALS / FAUX ART. Collection of a few door murals that I have created. Friday, May 10, 2013. MISSISSIPPI SWAMP DOOR MURAL. A WORK IN PROGRESS. This is a closet door at the end of the hallway. I have a lot of work to do here. I will emphasize the Lantana flowers and leaves to bring out their bright colors. I will probably add a palmetto bush at right near the water on the white sand. The door prior to beginning the mural. Posted by Jeanette Butler. Sunday, June 15, 2008. Posted by Jeanette Butler.

Proudly powered by WordPress. Theme: Motif by WordPress.com.
