radiomama: July 2005
http://radiomama.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
At the end of the sanity-rope, tying a knot. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Sweet, sweet sleep was had last night and it was gooooood. Thank you, Tylenol with codeine (not for me, for the kid with the broken leg). Felix is getting pretty zippy with the wheelchair - I wonder if there is a Murderbal. It seems like The Broken Leg has consumed our normal daily lives. My husband, the one who works way too much, has taken off for a couple of weeks to stay home with Felix. (Can you hear it? Laquo; pride (in the name of love). December 29, 2005. It’s always fun to go to the movies, especially when some of my favorites are on screen. It’s been a pretty good week with appearances by Adrien Brody, Chris Cooper, Jamie Bell, Jack Black and His Eyebrows, William Hurt . if only we could have worked Andy Garcia into the mix. After so many months without anything of interest at the cinema, I punched the frequent moviegoer card many times: The Squid and The Whale (my friend from the rental store.

A Short Film Written and Directed by Erin Galey. From Natasha, aka: "Samantha". Just wanted to put this out on the front page. :) . My name is Natasha Capol and I am one of the candidates who have been to this casting call with Erin. . At first I looked at her and I thought, "Boy, she's a stunning one! To Eri...

In the NYT highlighting a day of OT Jodi Levin at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Incidentally, our class watched Murderball. This past week. It tells the story of the US quadriplegic wheelchair rugby team during the 2000 and 2004 Paralympics. One of the players from the US team gives a lecture at Kessler and inspires a recently injured patient to take up rugby. There was a quote from the film that stuck in my mind:. Your mind becomes a bigger disability than the physical stuff.". Although I'd ...

Friday, July 29, 2005. Isaac and I just got home from a screening of the new documentary "Murderball". It was the one of the most real and compelling documentaries I have ever seen (and I have seen a LOT of documentaries)! It is about the US paralympic rugby team and their personal stories as well as the team story of the 2004 games. Give it a chance and watch the preview at the link below. It speaks for itself. Posted by Leah : 7/29/2005 11:09:00 PM 4 comments. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Last night. I...
