Muritai EnviroSchools: Planting Caterpillar Food
http://muritaienviro.blogspot.com/2012/12/planting-caterpillar-food.html
Thursday, December 13, 2012. Today Eastbourne scientist Stan Swan visited Room 1 to help us solve the problem of not having enough swan plants in Eastbourne to feed all the caterpillars we are rearing in our school butterfly garden and for the Monarch butterflies to lay their eggs on! He bought us little peat pots and lots of swan plant seeds to plant and take home for our own Eastbourne gardens. The pots swelled up like magic when we added water! We poked a seed into each one with our finger.

Muritai School: Room 6 2016: Newspaper cats
http://room6muritaischoolnz.blogspot.com/2015/08/newspaper-cats.html
Muritai School: Room 6 2016. Thursday, August 6, 2015. We have made newspaper collage cats. This is how we did it. First I cut and draw my cat. Next I stick it on the bright orange card. Then I cut the bright eyes. When I’ve done that I get the triangle shaped black paper and stick it on for the nose. Finally I get the strips of white paper and stick them on for whisker and cut a mouth. That’s how you make a cat. Take a look at them in the foyer. August 20, 2015 at 6:51 PM.
